How to Export Reports from Google Ads

Follow these step-by-step instructions to export the required reports from your Google Ads account. You will need three reports: Campaigns, Ad Groups, and Keywords.

1. Campaigns Report

  1. Log in to your Google Ads account at ads.google.com
  2. In the left sidebar, click "Campaigns"
  3. Make sure the date range at the top right covers the period you want to analyze
  4. Customize columns if needed by clicking the columns icon — include metrics like Impressions, Clicks, Cost, Conversions, etc.
  5. Click the download icon (arrow pointing down) in the top right of the table
  6. Select "CSV" as the format and save the file

2. Ad Groups Report

  1. In the left sidebar, click "Ad groups"
  2. Ensure the same date range is selected as for the campaigns report
  3. Customize columns as needed — include Ad Group Status, Impressions, Clicks, Cost, Conversions, CTR, CPC, etc.
  4. Click the download icon and save as CSV

3. Keywords Report

  1. In the left sidebar, expand "Keywords" and click "Search keywords"
  2. Use the same date range as the previous reports
  3. Customize columns to include Keyword, Match Type, Impressions, Clicks, Cost, Conversions, Quality Score, etc.
  4. Click the download icon and save as CSV

Tips

  • Use the same date range across all three reports for consistent analysis
  • Include as many performance columns as possible — the AI will use all available data
  • You don't need all three reports — even one report is enough to start an analysis
  • Make sure the CSV file is not modified after export to avoid parsing issues
